Information
- This summer school accepts 30 local participants and 15 non-local participants.
- CSCIT 2021 will be conducted in hybrid-mode - some participants and speakers will attend physically while others may join via online platforms.
- All local participants are expected to stay at the hotel accommodations arranged by the organizers. We also encourage overseas participants to come and join physically if possible (please refer to the quarantine requirements at The Government of Hong Kong's website).
- Note the the registration includes the following: participation in all summer school activities, single-room hotel accommodation for 6 nights (Sunday to Saturday), lunches and refreshments (Monday to Friday), dinners on some of the evenings with summer school activities, a souvenir.
- Registration requires submission of a 1-page paper abstract and a poster.
- The one-page abstract may be original/unpublished, or may be already published work -- no proceedings will be generated -- this abstract is only for the purpose of participant selection.
- The poster should contain some exposition of the submitted abstract, and be related to it.
- We encourage more junior graduate students, who do not yet have original research to present at the summer school, to submit a "tutorial-style" presentation on some topic of interest to the student. If this is the case, please indicate so on both the poster and the abstract.
- On notification of acceptance, participants will need to pay a registration fee. The registration fee is HKD 1500 for physical attendees, and HKD 500 for online attendees.
- Financial support may be provided for participants who are actively involved in the summer school. The support will come in the form of
(partial) reimbursement of registration and/or travel costs (airfare or train fare for overseas participants).
